Aamir Hussain’s full name is Aamir Liaquat Hussain. He was a famous politician in Pakistan as well as a columnist and a television host. He was a top-ranking TV anchor and was also listed three times in Thin The 500 influential Muslims worldwide.

Aamir Hussain was born on 5 July 1971 in Karachi in Pakistan to parents Sheikh Liaquat Hussain, also a politician and columnist Mahmooda Sultana. He passed away on Thursday, 9 th June 2022  in his birth town in Pakistan.

Aamir Hussain Early Life

Aamir Hussain attended Liaquat Medical College Jamshoro where he graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree in 1995.  He also earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Islamic Studies in 2002 at the Trinity College and University in Spain.

In 2002, he was elected as the Member of the National Assembly of Pakistan during the 2002 Pakistani general election and was also appointed as junior Minister of State for Religious Affairs. In 2004, he was made the Zakat and Usher Division in the Shaukat Aziz cabinet.

In 2005, Aamir called on religious scholars from Pakistan to issue a ‘Fatwa’ with regards to suicide bombings. In February 2017, Aamir was charged with the facilitation of hate speech and an Anti-Terrorism Court in Pakistan instructed the authorities to put his name on the Exit Control List.
