Cooper Noriega was one of the famous TikTok creators who had a verified account on the platform. Cooper was found dead in a mall parking lot on Thursday, 9 June 2022. He was only 19 years old.
Cooper was pronounced dead at the scene in Burbank, California. The cause of death is currently unknown. He had a little over 1.8million followers on TikTok. He often made comedy videos about skateboarding and fashion and sometimes dueted with other popular TikTok stars and musicians.
Cooper also posted lip-syncs videos, dance videos and modelling clips on his TikTok account. A couple of days ago, he opened up to his fans on TikTok about his struggles with mental illness and substance abuse.
On Sunday, 5 June 2022, he shared a post on his page where he announced a Discord server where he and his followers could be a “safe space where people can vent and help others through their tough times” as he called it.
This was what he said, “I’ve been struggling with addiction since I was 9 years old, you may think that’s crazy but that’s the life I’ve been dealt”, “I would like to use the influence I’ve been given to create a space built on spreading awareness and normalizing talking about mental illness.”
“One of the many things I’ve learned while struggling with addiction was that surrounding yourself with negative people will only bring you down,”.
