James Franco Siblings: Meet Dave Franco and Tom Franco

American actor James Franco was born alongside two siblings. His brothers are Dave Franco and Tom Franco.

Dave Franco

James’ younger brother, David, was born in Palo Alto, California, in 1985 as David John Franco. As an actor, he’s also a writer. “Davy” is the family’s nickname for him.

The Disaster Artist (2017) marks the first time Dave and James have collaborated on a project as co-writers and co-directors. Neighbors, Nerve, Now You See Me, and Now You See Me 2 are some of the films Dave has worked on.

The year 2012 saw the beginning of Dave’s relationship with actress Alison Brie. In August of 2015, the pair got engaged, and in March 2017, they were married.

In the Marvel Avengers Academy, both Alison and Dave have voiced roles (2016).

Tom Franco

James’ younger brother, Thomas Andrew Franco, was born in Palo Alto, California, in 1980 and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Tom graduated from UCLA with a degree in English literature. In order to overcome his timidity, Tom took up acting and dropped out of college after a year.

In 2014, Tom Franco wed Julia Lazar Franco (until her death due to liver failure). In 2015, Tom married Iris Torres, a film producer.
