Aamir Hussain was a Pakistani politician, columnist, and television host. Hussain was a top-ranking TV anchor and has been listed three times in The 500 influential Muslims worldwide, and was among 100 popular personalities of Pakistan.
An interview with Hussain stated he obtained his MBBS from Liaquat Medical College Jamshoro in 1995, and his Ph.D. in Islamic Studies from Trinity College and University in 2002, a now-known degree mill (based in Spain but incorporated in Dover, Delaware).
In addition, he’s claimed to have earned a Master of Arts in Islamic Studies from Trinity College and University in 2002, according to his claims.
As of 2006, Pakistan’s Higher Education Commission ruled that Hussain’s BA degree in Islamic Studies from Trinity College and University was unrecognized and fraudulent.
Obtaining a degree from this university for £150 within 28 days was revealed as a hoax by The Guardian in 2003. Prior to the beginning of 2005, the University of Karachi found his BA degree to be fraudulent and invalid. During the 2002 Pakistani general elections, Hussain proudly declared his BA degree to the country’s electoral authority.
