Louis Leterrier (born June 17, 1973) is a French film director and producer whose credits include Unleashed (2005), The Incredible Hulk (2008), Clash of the Titans (2010), Now You See Me (2013), and The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance, as well as the streaming television series The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance (2019).
Leterrier is the son of filmmaker François Leterrier and costume designer Catherine Leterrier and was born in Paris. Laurent Fabius, a politician, and François Fabius, an antiquarian, are his uncles.
His mother aided him in his creative endeavors. Leterrier started out as a drummer in a band before dabbling with short films.
He left France at the age of 18 to study film at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts following some training in advertising and publicity.
