Naoya Inoue is a professional boxer from Japan. He is a three-division world champion and presently holds the WBA, IBF, and Ring magazine championships, as well as the WBC crown, which he has held since June 2022.

From 2014 until 2018, he held the WBO junior-bantamweight title, as well as the WBC light-flyweight title 2014.

 

Inoue, dubbed “Monster,” is recognized for his striking strength and body attack, with an 86 percent knockout ratio.

He then competed in the AIBA Youth World Championships but was defeated in the third preliminary round by Yosvany Veita. In the same year, he finished second in the Japanese National Championships.

 

He won the gold medal at the 21st President’s Cup in Jakarta, Indonesia, in July 2011. In that same year, he took first place in the Japanese Interscholastic Athletic Meeting.

In the 2011 World Amateur Boxing Championships, he was knocked out in the third round by Yosvany Veita at the Heydar Aliyev Sports and Exhibition Complex in Baku, Azerbaijan, and lost in the final to Birzhan Zhakypov at the 2012 Asian Boxing Olympic Qualification Tournament in Astana, Kazakhstan. He has a 75–6 amateur record (48 KOs and RSCs)
