Scottie Scheffler is a professional golf player based in the United States of America who is currently trending for being ranked as the world’s number one golf player.

Scottie started playing golf back in high school. He was a student at the Highland Park High School where he began his non-professional golf career. When he completed high school, he gained admission to the University of Texas where he played golf for the University.

He was named “Phil Mickelson Freshman of the Year” in 2015 when he helped the golf team win three Big 12 championships. He applied for the U. S golf opening in 2016 and 2017 and qualified in both.

Scottie was part of the U.S. golf team in the 2021 Ryder Cup at Whistling Straits that was held in Kohler, Wisconsin in September 2021. The team won 19–9 with Scottie going a 2–0–1 win.

During the WM Phoenix Open ( a professional golf tournament on the PGA Tour) held in February 2022, Scottie won when he played against Patrick Cantlay. A couple of weeks later, he won his second PGA Tour title at the Arnold Palmer Invitational in Orlando.

In 2022, Scottie defeated Rory Mcllroy in the 2022 Masters Tournament to become the 5th golfer to enter the Master’s Tournament and be ranked number 1 in the whole world.
