Tasha Ghouri, full name Natasha Amber Ghouri is a video vixen, a professional model and a dancer from Thirsk in North Yorkshire. Tasha is one of the contestants in season eight of Love Island.
Love Island is a British reality show that seeks to help contestants find love by pairing them with other contestants and assigning them to various tasks till a pair falls in love with each other.
Tasha has made a record of being the first-ever deaf contestant on the Love Island show. She was born completely deaf and had a cochlear implant when she was 5 years old.
She went viral in 2021 when she appeared in an ASOS campaign wearing her cochlear implant in an ad for earrings. She has also made an appearance in the 2020 music video for pop star MNEK’s track with Sleepwalkers titled ‘More Than Words”.
The music video was a celebration of the deaf community and all of the dancers featured in the video were deaf. Tasha had this to say about her appearance in the music video. “That was my first major music video. Surprisingly enough it was about him celebrating the deaf community. It was such a great, exciting opportunity”.
