Why did Alex Wassabi Leave YouTube?

Alex Wassabi intends to take a long hiatus from the channel to reflect on his life and reassess its future.

Alex explained that he took a break because he was exhausted. According to him, “I feel less creative.” he explained. Creating has become less of a priority for me than it once was.

Continuing on, he said, “I’d like to take a pause to figure out who I am and what I want to accomplish with this channel, and even whether or not I want to continue to be a YouTube creator at all.”

Wassabi admitted that he had felt “scared” to take a sabbatical throughout his fifteen-year YouTube career because he felt like people depended on him.

I’ve come to realize that I can’t spend the rest of my life making other people happy,” stated Wassabi. However, “It’s what I’ve always wanted to do, but it’s not good for my mental health.”

Wasabi Productions has come a long way from its inception in January 2006, with various movies displaying early films starring Alex and the channel’s original founder Roi Fabbito. The video then switches to a series of vintage clips.

Founded in 2006, Wassabi Productions as fans know it was co-created by Alex Burris around the same time.

Wassabi Productions was born at that time, with Roi and Alex entertaining millions of people each week with their iconic Wassabi Wednesdays program.
