Naomi Judd was an American singer-songwriter and actress. In 1983, she and her daughter Wynonna formed the duo known as The Judds.

She helped start CMT’s reality music competition Can You Duet in 2008 and 2009, demonstrating that music and mentorship are two of her greatest hobbies.

Along with her 2010 reunion with Wynonna, “The Judds: The Last Encore Tour,” which was documented by the successful docu-series “The Judds,” which premiered on OWN: The Oprah Winfrey Network in 2011, she was also the subject of the hit docu-series “The Judds.”

She loved philanthropic works and continued her work with the National Humane Society, River Cities Harvest, the Saint Louis University Liver Center, M.A.D.D., Parents Television Council, Make-A-Difference Day, Women’s World Peace Initiative, the National Domestic Violence Hotline, and her own event, Judd’s Annual Food Drive on July 4th, which benefits Appalachian families.

Did Wynonna and Naomi Get Along?

The late mother and one-half of the Judds, Naomi, and Wynonna Judd, are currently estranged.

While Naomi claims she and her daughter grew apart while filming The Judds in 2011, the two reconciled in 2015 for a Las Vegas residency.

In an early 2016 appearance on Oprah’s Where Are They Now, Naomi revealed that Wynonna was irritated by how open her mother was in interviews.

In recent months, she’s been concentrating on her own profession, away from her mother.
