Kirk Cameron is an American actor and Evangelical Christian. He is known for his role as Mike Seaver on the ABC sitcom Growing Pains (1985–1992), a role for which he was nominated for two Golden Globe Awards.
Cameron started acting at the age of nine, and his first role was in an ad for a morning cereal company. At the age of 13, he made his acting debut in the sitcom Two Marriages.
Despite his young age, he had already acted in a number of films and television shows. Growing Pains, an ABC sitcom from 1985, made him famous as Mike Seaver.
Chelsea Noble, who would go on to play Cameron’s future wife, Kate MacDonald, would play Mike’s love interest in the show.
