In real life, they dated. The couple married in Cheektowaga, New York, on July 21, 1991, and have six children, four of whom are adopted and two of whom are biological.
Both Chelsea and Kirk profess their faith in Jesus Christ. The Firefly Foundation, which operates Camp Firefly, was formed by them.
