Ryan Rodney Reynolds is a film and television actor from Canada. He started his career in the Canadian adolescent serial opera Hillside, then moved on to lesser roles until winning the main role in the sitcom Two Guys and a Girl from 1998 to 2001.
Reynolds’ acting career began in 1991 when he played Billy Simpson in Hillside, a Canadian-produced adolescent soap opera that was later renamed Fifteen in the United States.
Reynolds starred in the 1993 film Ordinary Magic as a little boy who goes from India to Canada following his father’s death.
He played Macro in The Odyssey between 1993 and 1994. In 1996, he co-starred with Melissa Joan Hart in the TV movie Sabrina the Teenage Witch as Jay “Boom” DeBoom in “Syzygy,” the twelfth episode of The X-Files’ third season.
In Cold Blood, a two-part miniseries based on Truman Capote’s non-fiction book of the same name starred Reynolds as Bobby Rupp, the boyfriend of slain adolescent Nancy Clutter.
He also had an appearance in the anthology episode “Origin of the Species” from The Outer Limits, which aired on November 14, 1998.
Reynolds played medical student Michael “Berg” Bergen in the four-season comedy Two Guys, A Girl, and a Pizza Place, which premiered in 1998.
In 2002, he acted alongside Michael Douglas and Albert Brooks in the National Lampoon film Van Wilder, and in 2003, he participated in the Canadian film Foolproof alongside Michael Douglas and Albert Brooks.
