Tom Parker was a vocalist from the United Kingdom. He was best known as a member of The Wanted, a British-Irish boy band.
Parker was born and raised in the English town of Bolton. After trying out his older brother’s guitar, he learned to play the guitar at the age of sixteen.
He later auditioned for The X Factor but did not get past the first round. He studied Geography at Manchester Metropolitan University before dropping out to pursue a professional singing career.
Before joining The Wanted in 2009, Parker was a member of taking That II, a Take That tribute band that toured northern England.

Tom Parker, a member of the British boy band The Wanted, died at the age of 33 after being diagnosed with terminal brain cancer.
In October 2020, the singer revealed to his followers that he had an incurable tumour. After suffering a seizure in June 2015, Parker was diagnosed with a brain tumour and placed on a waiting list for an MRI scan.
Parker said on Instagram in January 2021 that his tumour had been “much decreased” and that he would continue his therapy.
Parker performed a special charity concert at the Royal Albert Hall in September in support of Stand Up to Cancer.
He performed with The Wanted for the first time since they declared their sabbatical in 2014.”Our hearts are devastated,” his wife Kelsey Hardwick posted on Instagram.
Together, they have two little children. “Tom was the centre of our universe,” she continued. We can’t picture life without his contagious smile and vivacious spirit.”
