Judge received a $1.8 million signing bonus when he signed with the Yankees.

On August 13, 2016, Judge made his MLB debut. In each of his first two MLB at-bats, he hit a home run. He had a.303 batting average, 10 home runs, 20 RBIs, and a.411 on-base percentage in April. Judge also hit multiple home runs for the first time in his career. Judge was selected to play in the 2017 MLB All-Star Game as a starting outfielder.

Judge became the fourth Yankee under the age of 25 to smash 40 home runs in a season. On the Yankees’ all-time list, he joined Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Joe DiMaggio, and Mickey Mantle. Judge set an MLB record with 208 strikeouts, beating the previous mark set by the Yankees.
