Nick Paul Anderson, an American professional baseball pitcher for the Tampa Bay Rays of Major League Baseball, was born on July 5, 1990. (MLB). He was previously with the Miami Marlins.
In Brainerd, Minnesota, Anderson attended Brainerd High School. He spent three years (2009–2011) playing college baseball at St. Cloud State University in St. Cloud, Minnesota.
For his senior year in 2012, he switched to NAIA Mayville State University in Mayville, North Dakota. He was 5-2 with a 1.95 ERA in 12 games (11 starts) his senior season.
Anderson was chosen in the 32nd round of the 2012 Major League Baseball draft by the Milwaukee Brewers. After failing to sign with the Brewers, he spent three seasons in the Frontier League, an independent baseball league.
In 2013, 2014, and 2015, he was a member of the Rockford RiverHawks/Aviators and the Frontier Greys.
Anderson was dealt with the Tampa Bay Rays on July 31, 2019, together with Trevor Richards, in return for Jess Sánchez and Ryne Stanek.
