Brendan Joel McKay, an American professional baseball pitcher and designated hitter for the Tampa Bay Rays of Major League Baseball, was born on December 18, 1995. (MLB). McKay was taken fourth overall in the first round of the 2017 Major League Baseball draft by the Rays. He was a member of the University of Louisville baseball team.
In both his junior and senior seasons, McKay was voted Pennsylvania Gatorade Baseball Player of the Year. He was picked in the 34th round of the 2014 Major League Baseball draft by the San Diego Padres, but he declined to sign and instead played collegiate baseball for the University of Louisville.
