Ryan Christian Yarbrough is an American professional baseball pitcher who currently plays for the Tampa Bay Rays of the Major League Baseball (MLB) organization.
Yarbrough was drafted by the Seattle Mariners in the fourth round of the 2014 Major League Baseball draft, which took place in April. In 2018, he made his Major League Baseball debut.
After graduating from All Saints’ Academy in Winter Haven, Florida, Yarbrough went on to play college baseball at Santa Fe College before transferring to Old Dominion University the following year.
In 2013 and 2014, he pitched for the Old Dominion Monarchs of the Atlantic League. He was selected by the Milwaukee Brewers in the 20th round of the 2013 Major League Baseball Draft, however, he chose not to sign with the team after being taken.
In his final season, he finished 6–7 with a 4.50 ERA in 18 games, finishing with a 4.50 ERA (14 starts)
Yarbrough was taken by the Seattle Mariners in the fourth round of the 2014 MLB draft. Pulaski Mariners were Yarbrough’s first professional team.
He was promoted to the Everett AquaSox after just two games. After 14 appearances (10 starts), he had an ERA of 1.27 with 58 strikeouts in 42+23 innings of work last year.
He made 22 starts for the AZL Mariners, Clinton LumberKings, and Bakersfield Blaze in 2015, going 4–8 with a 4.10 ERA.
