Ryan Christian Yarbrough is a Major League Baseball pitcher for the Tampa Bay Rays in the United States. Yarbrough was drafted in the fourth round of the 2014 Major League Baseball draft by the Seattle Mariners. In 2018, he made his MLB debut.
Yarbrough played college baseball at Santa Fe College before transferring to Old Dominion University after graduating from All Saints’ Academy in Winter Haven, Florida.
In 2013 and 2014, he pitched for the Old Dominion Monarchs. He was picked in the 20th round of the 2013 Major League Baseball Draft by the Milwaukee Brewers, but he did not sign. In 18 games as a senior in 2014, he finished 6–7 with a 4.50 ERA (14 starts)
Yarbrough was drafted in the fourth round of the 2014 Major League Baseball draft by the Seattle Mariners. With the Pulaski Mariners, Yarbrough made his professional debut.
He was promoted to the Everett AquaSox after two games. In 2014, he pitched in 14 games (10 starts) and had a 1.27 earned run average (ERA) in 42+23 innings with 58 strikeouts.
In 22 starts for the AZL Mariners, Clinton LumberKings, and Bakersfield Blaze in 2015, he had a combined 4–8 record and 4.10 ERA.
In 25 games thrown for the Jackson Generals in 2016, he went 12–4 with a 2.95 ERA and 1.11 WHIP.
