Kutter Martin Crawford is a Major League Baseball pitcher for the Boston Red Sox in the United States. In 2021, he made his MLB debut. He throws and bats right-handed and is listed as 6 feet 1 inch and 209 pounds.
Crawford played baseball for Florida Gulf Coast University after graduating from Okeechobee High School in Okeechobee, Florida. In the 16th round of the 2017 MLB draft, the Boston Red Sox selected him.
Crawford debuted professionally in 2017 with the Lowell Spinners of the New York–Penn League’s Class A Short Season.
In 2018, he divided time between the Class A Greenville Drive and the Class A-Advanced Salem Red Sox, making 27 starts and posting a 7–7 record with a 3.26 ERA (ERA).
Crawford was promoted to the Double-A Portland Sea Dogs after his return to Salem in 2019. After pitching in just one game after mid-July, he underwent Tommy John surgery in October of the following year.
Due to the termination of the minor-league season, he did not pitch professionally in 2020[3], and he underwent elbow surgery in the middle of the year to remove bone spurs.
Prior to getting promoted to the Worcester Red Sox of Triple-A in 2021, Crawford started off in Portland.
It was officially announced on September 5th that Boston had signed Crawford to a contract. Starting pitcher for the Cleveland Indians that day, he gave up five runs in two innings and took the loss.
