Austin Richard Davis, simply known in baseball as Austin Davis is a professional baseball player who plays as a pitcher for the Boston Red Sox team of the Major League Baseball(MLB).
Austin was born February 3, 1993, in Scott’s Dale, Arizona in the United States of America to parents Rick Davis and Jeri Davis. He is an old student of Desert Mountain High School in Scott’s Dale. He played baseball in high school and was a first-team All-Region and All-City player.
He later had his college education and career at the California State University in the Bakers field. He studied business in college and played college baseball for the Cal State Bakers field baseball team.
Austin began to play in the minor leagues in 2014. During the 12th round of the 2014 MLB draft, the Philadelphia Phillies signed him to the team. He made his professional debut with the Rookie Gulf Coast League Phillips that same year.
In 2016, he played for both the Class A Lakewood Blueclaws and the Class A-Advanced Clearwater Threshers. He also spent 2017 with the Clearwater and the Double-A Reading Fightin Phils baseball teams.
Austin played for the Philadelphia Phillies in the early parts of 2018 and he was promoted to the major leagues in June 2018. He made his MLB debut that same month for the team.
The Philadelphia Phillies traded Austin to the Pittsburgh Pirates after he spent two years with them. Then in July 2021, he was finally traded to the Boston Red Sox.
