Who Was Conrad Janis

Conrad Janis was an American jazz trombonist and actor. He was best known for his role as Mindy McConnell’s father Frederick on television’s Mork & Mindy.

Janis got a job in the play “The Dark of the Moon” during its pre-Broadway run, in which he was spotted by a Hollywood headhunter.

He remained with the creation when it ran in New York, therefore making his Broadway debut in March 1945. He then, at that point, made his film debut soon thereafter as Ronald Stevens in the film Snafu.

He then, at that point, played “Johnikins” in Margie (1946) with Jeanne Crain. He featured in the film noir The Brasher Doubloon with George Montgomery the next year.

Janis’ work on TV included featuring in “Fit to Kill” on The Web on November 19, 1950. He played the oldest child Edward on the sitcom Bonino in 1953.

He thusly showed up in an episode of Get Smart as a KAOS agent; a visitor featured as a dance long-distance race emcee on The Golden Girls and showed up in the science fiction sitcoms Quark and Mork and Mindy.
