How Tall is Khalil Mack?

According to his CBS Sports draft profile, the 6’3″, 251-pound linebacker with a 40-inch vertical might just sneak into the top five, even if he doesn’t overtake the equally physically stunning Jadeveon Clowney as the first defensive player picked in May.
According to NFL analyst Adam Schefter, Mack turned his 4.65 40-yard combine dash into a 4.54 during his pro day, which he did before holding his pro day.
Mack appears to be large and fast enough to be a 3-4 rush linebacker in this league. It’s no surprise he has 16 forced fumbles and is tied for first all-time in NCAA history with 75 tackles for loss.
Furthermore, as CBS Sports’ Dane Brugler points out, he has never missed a game in college due to injuries.
He moves quickly. He’s a large guy. He is a hard worker. He is in good health. In a metaphorical sense, he has his helmet on straight.
Yes, the fact that he hasn’t faced elite competition coming out of the Mid-American Conference shouldn’t be a factor.
Mack can play for anyone because he has the speed to play as a rush linebacker in the 3-4 and the strength to play as the “Sam” in the 4-3.
If he wasn’t rising so quickly, he’d have a lot of clubs waiting up to take him in the draft. Only a few teams are likely to see him on the scoreboard.
