Todd Harry Kalas (born December 31, 1965) is an American sportscaster who has been working for the Houston Astros as a television play-by-play announcer since 2017.

Kalas joined the Rays’ announcing staff for their first season in 1998 and stayed with them until 2016.

Kalas worked as a pregame and postgame host, in-game reporter, and color commentator for Fox Sports Florida and Sun Sports, among other networks.

On the Rays’ television and radio networks, Kalas also filled in for play-by-play.

Beginning with the 2017 season, Kalas was recruited as the television play-by-play announcer for the Houston Astros on AT&T SportsNet Southwest.

The Astros announced on September 29, 2019, that Kalas’ contract, as well as that of his TV broadcasting sidekick, color-man Geoff Blum, had been extended through the end of the 2021 season.

Todd Kalas works as a play-by-play announcer for college football, basketball, and baseball for Cox Sports Television in Louisiana during the offseason.

He works as a basketball radio broadcaster for the University of South Florida. He’s also the Tampa Bay Lightning’s pregame host.
