The toddler and Alexis’ bodies were discovered inside the vehicle. The child was taken to the hospital and was found to be in good health.
Police in South Bend said they’ll pass the case over to their violent crimes team and are awaiting a search warrant to bring the SUV to their tech bay.

The toddler has gone missing in South Bend, Indiana, according to the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office. And he was last seen with his mother, Alexis Morales, who is 27 years old.
Alexis is a Black woman who is 27 years old. She stands 5’6′′ tall and weighs around 160 pounds. Her hair is dark, and her eyes are brown.
They were last spotted around 6 p.m. on Tuesday, April 12. They were driving a 2006 BMW X5 SUV in silver with the Indiana license plate MULALUV.
The Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office posted photos of Alexis and Messiah Morales on Facebook on April 13, seeking help from the public in finding them.
