At the Adam Smith Business School, David Heald taught Public Sector Accounting.
Except for 2003-07, when he served as Professor of Financial Management at the University of Sheffield Management School, David’s academic career has been spent in Scotland.
He taught accounting at the University of Aberdeen from 1990 to 2003 and again from 2007 to 2015.
He previously worked as a management accountant in the engineering and steel industries, where he earned his Chartered Institute of Management Accountants membership.
David’s academic work has always been concerned with public policy and practice, with a focus on the public sector in particular.
He sat on the User-Preparer Advisory Group for government financial reporting at HM Treasury. He testifies before the UK and devolved parliamentary committees on a regular basis, both in writing and orally.
David Heald Cause of Death
Folks out there have been on the move to inquire what actually caused the death of late professor David Heald.
David Heald, Lesley Nicol’s husband, died at the age of 68, only a few days after admitting he had tested positive for Covid.
The ‘unexpected’ death of Nicol, who played cook Beryl Patmore in the hit period drama and its sequels, has left her heartbroken, according to her agent.
