Marnie Schulenburg, a former cast member of ‘As The World Turns,’ has died after a battle with breast cancer, prompting a rush of tributes on Twitter.
In May 2020, Schulenburg disclosed that she had been diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer, which physicians misdiagnosed as mastitis, a common illness among new mothers.
She announced her stage four breast cancer diagnosis on Instagram the day before her 36th birthday.
Schulenburg’s message detailed how difficult it was to celebrate her birthday while also caring for a 5-month-old child and being diagnosed with a terminal illness.
She then encouraged all moms, past, present, and prospective, to read her tale in the hopes of assisting others in recognizing the signs and symptoms of this dreadful sickness.
The actress was diagnosed with cancer in 2020, five months after her daughter, Coda, was born in December 2019.
Marnie’s daughter, now two years old, is the result of her marriage to actor Zack Robidas, who has worked on shows like ‘Succession’ (since 2018) and the film ‘The Negotiation’ (2012).
