2022 Ontario General Election Polls Open
The polls will be open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. across the province. Voters are required to vote at their designated polling place with two pieces of photo identification and their registration cards.
At least one constituency has fewer polling locations than in the last provincial election, so residents are urged to plan ahead of time. It was revealed by Elections Ontario that there are just 29 polling places in Toronto’s Spadina-Fort York riding, down from 116 in 2018.
COVID-19 protocols cut the number of polling sites significantly during the last federal election, resulting in long lines and a considerable deal of unhappiness for voters.
2022 Ontario General Election Results to Expect
A new provincial government for Ontario will be chosen by the people of Ontario on Thursday. It is expected that results will begin to come in shortly after polls close at 9 p.m.
