Adalberto Mondesí is a professional baseball player who plays for the Kansas City Royals baseball team of the Major League Baseball(MLB) as their shortstop. He is of Dominican descent but was born in Los Angeles, California, United States.

Adalberto began his professional career in 2011 when he signed with the Kansas City Royals. He received a signing bonus of $2 million. In 2012, he made his professional debut with the Idaho Falls Chukars of the Rookie-level Pioneer League

During the 2013 baseball season, Adalberto played with the Lexington Legends of the Class A South Atlantic League. He was ranked by Baseball America as the team’s third-best prospect before the 2014 baseball season.
