Carlos Hernandez was born Carlos Eduardo Hernández. He is a professional baseball pitcher who plays for the Kansas City Royals of the  Major League Baseball(MLB). He was born in Guayana City in Venezuela on March 11, 1997. 

Carlos’s amateur career is unknown but we do know he started his professional career with the Kansas City Royals baseball team after he signed with them as an international free agent for a $15,000 signing bonus on July 19, 2016.

During the 2017 baseball season, Carlos made his professional debut playing minor league with the Burlington Royals making a record of 1–4 with a 5.49 ERA and 62 strikeouts over 62+13 innings.

For the 2018 season, he was with the Lexington Legends and in 2019, he played for three minor league teams in the 2019 baseball season. He split the season among the AZL Royals, Burlington, and Lexington. He was also added to the Royals 40–man roster that same season.

On September 1, 2020, the Royals promoted him to the major leagues for the first time and he made his MLB debut for the Kansas City Royals that day when they played against the Cleveland Indians.
