Joan Joyce was the softball coach at Florida Atlantic University, following a record-setting career as a softball player for the Raybestos Brakettes and the Orange Lionettes.

Joyce was co-founder (with Billie Jean King, Jim Jorgensen, and Dennis Murphy) of the Women’s Professional Softball League in 1976 and the mentor and part proprietor of the Connecticut Falcons group, which brought home the Championship every one of the four years of the association’s set of experiences.

She is currently a mentor at Florida Atlantic University, having trained softball beginning around 1994 and ladies’ golf beginning around 1996. Starting in 2021, Joyce’s Owls group has eleven meeting titles and 985 triumphs.

In her initial two seasons (1995 and 1996), the Owls were Atlantic Sun Conference’s other participants, then brought home the following eight titles. They required second in 2005, then won again in 2006.

The Owls brought home the Sun Belt Conference title in 2007, and the Conference USA title in 2016.

Joyce was named Atlantic Sun Conference Coach of the Year in 1995, 1997, 1999, 2000, and 2002, Sun Belt Conference Coach of the Year in 2007, and Conference USA Coach of the Year in 2016 and 2018.
