Colin Michael Poche, a pitcher with the Tampa Bay Rays of Major League Baseball, was born on January 17, 1994. (MLB). Poche signed with the Hillsboro Hops and pitched for them the entire season, going 1-2 with a 3.19 ERA in 31 innings. In 2017, he threw for the Kane County Cougars and the Visalia Rawhide, combining for a 3-1 record and 1.25 ERA in 50.1 innings.

He pitched in the Arizona Fall League after the season was over. With the Jackson Generals, he opened the year. The Tampa Bay Rays acquired Poche as a player to be named later on May 1, 2018, to complete the Steven Souza transaction from February 2018.

Poche was advanced to the International League’s Triple-A Durham Bulls after three games with the Montogmery Biscuits. Poche was chosen to the 2018 MLB Pipeline team of the year after pitching 66 innings with a 0.82 ERA at both levels. Poche was also selected Minor League Reliever of the Year by the Rays.

Poche went at Flower Mound, Texas’ Marcus High School. He was 7-3 with a 0.21 ERA as a senior in 2012. He was picked in the fifth round of the 2012 Major League Baseball Draft by the Baltimore Orioles out of high school, but he declined to sign and instead attended the University of Arkansas, where he played college baseball.
