Connor is the oldest of four siblings. His parents are Kirk Seabold and Erin Brown. Unfortunately, he lost his mother to cancer in August 2014.

When Connor completed his junior year, he was selected by the Philadelphia Phillies in the third round of the 2017 MLB draft. He signed with the Phillies for a $525,000 salary and made his professional debut with the Williamsport Crosscutters of the Class A Short Season in the New York–Penn League.
The Phillies traded Connor after three years of playing for them to the Boston Red Sox team in exchange for a player and money. The Bostons added him to their 40-man roster in November 2020.
