Daniel Lynch is a professional baseball player who pitches for the Kansas City Royals baseball team of the Major League Baseball(MLB). Born November 17, 1996, in Richmond, Virginia, United States of America, Daniel started his amateur career at Douglas S. Freeman High School in Henrico, Virginia.
After high school, he continued his career at the University of Virginia where he played for the Virginia Cavaliers baseball team. During his freshman year at college, he played in 13 games. In 2017, he pitched for the Orleans Firebirds of the Cape Cod League and he was named a league all-star.
The Kansas City Royals team selected him as the 34th overall pick in the 2018 MLB draft and he signed with them in June 2018 for a $1.7 million signing bonus. Just around that season, he made his professional debut with the Burlington Royals of the Rookie-level Appalachian League before being promoted to the Lexington Legends of the Class A South Atlantic League.
For the 2019 season, Daniel played for the Wilmington Blue Rocks of the Class A-Advanced Carolina League after which he was named a Carolina League All-Star.
On May 3, 2021, the Royals promoted him into the major league and officially placed him on their 40-man roster. Daniels made his MLB debut that day as a starting pitcher for the Kansas City Royals.
