Drew Thomas Rasmussen is a Major League Baseball pitcher for the Tampa Bay Rays in the United States. On July 27, 1995, he was born in Puyallup, Washington.
He was previously with the Milwaukee Brewers, with whom he made his Major League Baseball debut in 2020.
Rasmussen, a native of Mead, Washington, went to Mt. Spokane High School and then Oregon State University, where he was a college baseball pitcher for the Beavers.
Prior to his rookie season, the Arizona Diamondbacks selected Rasmussen in the 39th round of the 2014 Major League Baseball draft.
The lone perfect game in the team’s history was a 3–0 victory over Washington State on March 21, 2015. As a freshman, he did so.
He was drafted in the third round of the 2017 Major League Baseball draft by the Tampa Bay Rays, but he declined to sign with the team.
Rasmussen had his second Tommy John surgery in September 2017, and he was forced to miss the entire 2018 season as a result.
Rasmussen was picked in the sixth round of the 2018 Major League Baseball draft despite missing the whole 2018 season.
