Ford Proctor is an American professional baseball catcher for the Tampa Bay Rays of the Major League Baseball short-termed as MLB.
Born on December 4, 1996, Proctor attended Monsignor Kelly Catholic High School in Beaumont, Texas.
He was drafted by the Kansas City Royals in the 40th round of the 2015 Major League Baseball draft yet didn’t sign and played school baseball at Rice University.
In 2017, he played university summer baseball with the Hyannis Harbor Hawks of the Cape Cod Baseball League. Proctor was drafted by the Tampa Bay Rays in the third round of the 2018 MLB draft.
Proctor made his professional debut with the Hudson Valley Renegades.
North of sixty games, he batted .256 with one homer and 24 RBIs. In 2019, he played for the Bowling Green Hot Rods, hitting .290/.383/.402 with six homers, 53 RBIs, and 11 taken bases north of 121 games.
He burned through 2021 with the Montgomery Biscuits with whom he sliced .244/.381/.419 with 12 homers and 47 RBIs.
The Rays added Proctor to their 40-man program after the 2021 season.
