Johnny Fripp who just died recently on March 24, 2022, was a Canadian skier as well as a footballer from Ottawa Canada. He was born on February 11, 1921. He was a skier between the years 1927 and 1960. He also featured in Rugby football between the years 1941 and 1947.
His early days reveal that he was a product of the Lisgar Collegiate Institute. He however didn’t develop much interest in college as he skipped college and ventured into rugby. The first team he played for was the Ottawa Rough Riders.
Talking about his Skiing career, he had that coming since the age of six. As a youth, he earned a lot of honors when he won a lot of tournaments as a youth. A typical example was when he won the Journal Trophy when he was at the age of 17. But the mystery surrounding the honor was that he was Said to have been young for such an honor so it was given to someone else.
After some number of years, he won the same award and had a second-place Quebec Kandahar race in the year 1940. He won a lot of honors since then.

Johnny died on March 24, 2022, at the age of 101. He is known and reported to have died from natural causes since no cause of death was recorded. He is the oldest Ottawa Rough Rider to have ever lived this long.
