How did Red Sox Acquire Jarren Duran?

Jarren Duran was acquired by the Red Sox through draft. He was sent to the Lowell Spinners and Greenville Drive which is a Minor League  High-A affiliate of the Boston Red Sox.

For the second year in a row, the Red Sox welcomed Duran to spring training, and he began the season with the Triple-A Worcester Red Sox. He was added to the 40-man roster of the Boston Red Sox on July 16.

He started in center field against the New York Yankees the next day in his MLB debut.

After winning the first seven games of the season, the Red Sox were ultimately defeated by their opponents. After a 52-minute rain delay that began just after a wild bottom of the sixth, the game was declared official.

Duran’s first professional plate appearance came more than 72 hours after the announcement that he had been called up at long last on Wednesday.

Yankees’ ace pitcher Gerrit Cole hit Duran with a 95.2 mph first-pitch fastball, which he smacked into center field for a single.

And then, according to Statcast, he got his first roar around the basepaths out of the way moments later when Christian Arroyo hit a bloop single, and Duran scored from second with a peak sprint pace of 29.3 feet per second.
