How did Shane Warne die?

Shane Warne died of a Heart Attack.

Shane Warne, the famed Australian spin bowler regarded as one of the best cricketers of all time, died in Thailand at the age of 52 from a suspected heart attack.

When Warne was discovered, he was on the famed tourist island of Koh Samui. Local medics arrived on the site but were unable to save the victim.

“At this time, the family begs privacy and will share additional information as soon as possible.”

The announcement is the second huge setback for Australian cricket in less than 24 hours, following the death of fellow legend Rod Marsh on Friday after suffering a massive heart attack last week.

Known affectionately as “Warnie” by fans around the world, Warne is widely regarded as the finest bowler to have ever donned a bowling apron.

With 708 Test wickets, he is the second-highest wicket-taker of all time behind only Muttiah Muralitharan, an Australian, and the most ever taken by an international player.

After making his Test debut in 1992 at the SCG, Warne went on to play a major role in all three formats of the game during one of Australia’s most dominant stretches ever.

From 1993 to 2003, he was a member of Australia’s World Cup-winning team in 1999, as well as five Ashes-winning teams.
