Is Salvador Perez a Hall of Famer?

Salvador Perez is not a hall farmer yet but his home run against the Cleveland Indians making it a single season with  46th home runs batted earned him a spot.

His game jersey and mask are now on their way to Cooperstown to be inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame.

Perez continued to etch his name into the record books as one of the finest catchers in big league history on Sunday.

He hit his 48th home run of the season, tying the American League record for most home runs by a catcher in a single season. With 45 home runs in 1970, Johnny Bench owns the major league record.

Perez has already established an illustrious career. He has a batting line of .270/.301/.460, with 190 home runs and 208 doubles.

Those are impressive figures for a catcher, and they would have been even better if he hadn’t missed the whole 2019 season due to Tommy John’s surgery.

He has 61 runs saved on defense, which is the 15th best number in MLB history.
