Who Is Jaden Smith?

Jaden Smith was born on July 8, 1998, in Malibu, California, to actresses Jada Pinkett Smith and Will Smith. Trey Smith (born 1992) is his elder half-brother, while Willow Smith is his younger sister (born 2000).

Smith attended New Village Leadership Academy before his parents homeschooled him. Smith’s famous status as a result of his roles in films such as The Pursuit of Happiness and his parents’ roles as prominent actors led to him being excluded from enjoying a normal upbringing, something he has spoken about extensively.  He began skateboarding.

Smith and his siblings were young ambassadors for Project Zambi, which works with Hasbro to help Zambian children orphaned by AIDS.

23-year-old Jaden is not yet married, but he is rumored to be dating Sab Zada, the rumors became more plausible when the two were spotted at Disneyland on Valentine’s Day in 2022.

Smith made his feature film debut as Christopher, the son of Will Smith’s character Chris Gardner, in the 2006 film The Pursuit of Happiness.

Smith received the Breakthrough Performance award at the 2007 MTV Movie Awards for his performance. Smith then played Jacob in Scott Derrickson’s 2008 science fiction film The Day the Earth Stood Still, a remake of the 1951 classic of the same name.

Smith co-starred in The Karate Kid, a remake of the 1984 classic, with Jackie Chan in 2010.  Will Smith and Jaden Smith co-starred in After Earth as father and son in May 2013. Smith will return for the sequel Karate Kid 2 with Jackie Chan, which was revealed in 2014.

Smith was cast in the 2014 film The Good Lord Bird, which is based on James McBride’s 2013 novel of the same name. Smith plays Henry Shackleford, a teenage slave who meets abolitionist John Brown in Kansas Territory in 1857.
