Jarren Duran High School

Jarren Duran was a student at the Cypress High School in Cypress, California.

In his high school days, his squad won the CIF-SS Division 2 championship his sophomore year, and the Centurions won three Empire League championships in a row.

Duran was a member of the North All-Star Team and an All-Empire League pick. In league play, he hit.410 and led the squad in triples.

Jarren Duran  Assumed the leadoff place in the batting order for the first time on April 23 at UC Riverside and led off 21 times, the second-most on the team.

He hit .272 with 34 runs and 17 RBIs while also leading the team in stolen bases (13 on 23 tries), walks (30), and sacrifice bunts (12).

Jarren Duran began his career with a five-game hitting streak and ended his freshman season with a 15-game hitting streak.

He had 15 multi-hit games, three of which were three-hit games, and four times he scored three runs.

Jarren Duran rediscovered his power stroke in the final month of the season, hitting nine of his 12 extra-base hits.

Five of his six hits in the Coral Gables Regional went for extra bases, including two doubles, two triples, and his first career home run against Miami (FL) on June 4th.

At the Coral Gables Regional, Jarren Duran was chosen to the All-Tournament Team.
