Jeffrey Springs is an American professional baseball pitcher who was born September 20, 1992, in Belmont, North Carolina. He had his high school education at South Point High school in his hometown in North Carolina. He further went ahead to get a degree in management at Appalachian State University in 2012.
Jeffrey played college baseball for the Appalachian State Mountaineers baseball team whiles studying there for four years, that is from 2012 to 2015. He was drafted by the Texas Rangers in the 30th round of the 2015 MLB Draft and signed with them for a $1,000 signing bonus.
He made his MLB debut on July 31, 2018, for the Texas Rangers. In December 2019, his contract with the Texas Rangers was renewed for another year.
In January 2020, the Rangers traded Jeffrey to the Boston Red Sox baseball team in exchange for a different player. Whiles with the Red Sox, he made his professional debut with the team in its fourth game of the 2020 baseball season.
He was finally traded to the Tampa Bay Rays team in February 2021 in exchange for some players. Currently, he plays for the Tampa Bay Rays baseball team of the Major League Baseball(MLB).
