Known professionally as Ji-man Choi (born May 19, 1991), he is a South Korean professional baseball player who presently plays for the Tampa Bay Rays of Major League Baseball (MLB).

Choi is capable of playing a variety of positions, including designated hitter, first baseman, and outfield. In 2016, he was a member of the Los Angeles Angels, and in 2017, he was a member of the New York Yankees, and in 2018, he was a member of the Milwaukee Brewers.

Choi has also represented Korea’s U12 and U18 national baseball teams in baseball.

After hitting his first career grand slam with the Milwaukee Brewers, Choi was traded to the Tampa Bay Rays in exchange for infielder Brad Miller and monetary considerations exactly one day later.

He was immediately optioned to the AAA Durham Devils.

Choi was sold to the Tampa Bay Rays one day after hitting his first career grand slam with the Milwaukee Brewers in exchange for infielder Brad Miller and monetary considerations.

Upon signing, he was promptly optioned to the AAA Durham Thunderbirds. Choi was promoted to the major leagues by the Rays on July 11, 2018.

Against Brad Hand of the Cleveland Indians, on September 10, he blasted a walk-off two-run home run to win the game. Choi had a.269 batting average with 8 home runs and 27 RBIs in 49 games with the Rays.
