Ji-man Choi (born May 19, 1991) is a South Korean baseball player for the Tampa Bay Rays (MLB). Choi can play designated hitter, first base, and outfield.

He was with the Angels in 2016, the Yankees in 2017, and the Brewers in 2018. Choi also played for Korea’s U12 and U18 national teams.

Choi joined the Mariners before to the 2010 season. His professional baseball career began with their AZL affiliate. Choi batted.378 with 23 runs scored, 51 hits, 15 doubles, two triples, one home run, 23 RBIs, and 10 stolen bases in 39 games with the Arizona League Mariners.

Choi led the league in on-base and slugging percentages (.459). (.541).

Choi also played 11 games with the California League’s High Desert Mavericks. On August 24, Choi hit his solo home run with the Mavericks, against the Inland Empire 66ers.

While with the Mavericks, he batted.302 with seven RBIs and 13 hits. In 50 games for both clubs, Choi batted.360 with 30 runs, 64 hits, 16 doubles, three triples, two home runs, and 30 RBIs.

He played first base and catcher for both teams, accumulating two errors, 39 assists, and 326 putouts. He was selected MVP of the Arizona League. Choi was chosen as the Mariners’ finest Arizona League position player.
