Jody Lukoki was a Congolese professional Footballer player who was nicknames “son of the wind”. He played for his nations team and also at FC Twente as a winger.
Judy was born on 15th November 1992 at Kindu, Zaire. He started his football career somewhere in 2003 and by 2011, received his first call for the DR Congo team for the match against Iraq in 2015 and earned his first cap in that game. He was in the international arena with the Netherlands Ajax, SC Cambuur, PECZwolle, and others and in recent times, FC Twente where he met his sudden death.

Last week the player posted on his Instagram page that he was working in the gym on his comeback from injury this follows a devastating injury he went through that got him off the pitch for a while. It is however not yet known what might have made Jody give up on the wings of life as on May 9th, it was reported and confirmed that Jody has passed away.

Following the sudden announcement of his demise, tributes have since kept pouring in from all his former teams, loved ones, and the general public. “It is unbelievable. At this young age. So sad. This is really terrible. We sympathize with his family and friends.”

Lukoki will forever be remembered as PEC Zwolle’s first goalscorer in an official European game. “PEC Zwolle wishes the relatives of Jody Lukoki a lot of strength to bear this enormous loss” are some of the sad heartbreaking tributes pouring in on Twitter from his former clubs.
Jody Lukoki owned a dual citizenship card and could play for either Netherlands or Dr. Congo.
