José Orlando Berríos, known simply as Jose Berrios is a Puerto Rican born professional baseball player who pitches for the Toronto Blue Jays baseball team of the Major League Baseball(MLB).

Berríos was born on May 27, 1994, at Bayamón in   Puerto Rico to Ángel Berríos and Magaly Torres. He began his professional career in 2012 after he was selected by the Minnesota Twins team in the first round of the 2012 MLB draft in the 32nd pick.

He made his professional debut that season when he played for the Gulf Coast Twins of the Rookie-level Gulf Coast League.  He was later on promoted to the Elizabethton Twins of the Rookie-level Appalachian League in August that year.

In April 2016, the Twins promoted Berríos upon which he made his MLB debut on April 27, 2016. In 2021, Berríos played a total of 20 games, compiling a 7-5 with 3.48 ERA and 126 strikeouts in 121+2⁄3 innings pitched.

He played for the twins from 2012 till July 2021 when he was traded to the Toronto Blue Jays in exchange for some players. In November that same year, the Blue Jays agreed and signed a seven-year contract extension worth $131 million with Berríos.
