Josh Staumont is one of the Kansas City Royals baseball team players who play as a pitcher for the team. He was born December 21, 1993, at La Habra, California in the United States of America.

He began his non-professional career by playing baseball for the La Habra High School in La Habra, California where he attended high school and at the university, he played college baseball for Biola University and Azusa Pacific University.

Josh won a league title in 2014 when he played in collegiate summer baseball in the Cape Cod Baseball League. In 2015, Josh was lucky to be drafted by the Kansas City Royals during the second round of the 2015 MLB draft.

In 2015, he made his professional debut with the Arizona League Royals, an affiliate to the Royals after which he was promoted to the Idaho Falls Chukars. During the 2016 season, Josh split his time and pitched for both the Wilmington Blue Rocks and Northwest Arkansas Naturals.

Josh played out the 2017 season with both Northwest Arkansas and the Omaha Storm Chasers. In July 2019, he was promoted to the major leagues and five days after his promotion, which was July 25, 2019, he made his MLB debut for the Royals.
