Kyle Isbel is a professional baseball player who positions as the centre fielder for the Kansas City Royals of Major League Baseball(MLB). Born March 3, 1997, in Fontana, California in the United States, Isbel’s amateur career started at Etiwanda High School in Rancho Cucamonga, California, where he played baseball. He then played college baseball at the University of Nevada-Las Vegas (UNLV) in 2016.
After the 2018 baseball season, the Kansas City Royals selected him in the third round of the 2018 MLB draft. He signed with the Royals and also made his professional debut with the Idaho Falls Chukars. In 2019, Isbel played with the Wilmington Blue Rocks but got injured and had to be placed on the injured list in April but was activated in July.
When he was activated, he resumed playing and played in the Arizona Fall League for the Surprise Saguaros team. Due to the cancellation of the minor league game in 2020 caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, Isbel did not play in any game.
In March 2021, he was put on the Royals Opening Day roster and in April that same year, he was placed on the Royals 40-man roster. Isbel made his MLB debut the same day.
