Luis Medina is a well-known baseball player who was born in Nugua, Dominican Republic on May 3, 1999, currently 22years old. He is a former Major League Baseball designated hitter/first baseman who played for the Cleveland Indians from 1988 to 1991. He batted with his right hand and threw with his left. He is currently employed in the front office of the Kansas City Royals.

In July 2015, Medina signed as an international free agent with the New York Yankees. He debuted professionally with the Dominican Summer League Yankees in 2016. In 2017, he pitched for the Dominican Summer League Yankees and the Pulaski Yankees in the Dominican Summer League.  He made a pitch for Pulaski in 2018.

Medina began the 2019 season with the Charleston RiverDogs before being promoted to the Tampa Yankees midway through the year. He did not play a game in 2020 since the MiLB season was cancelled due to the COVID-19 epidemic. Medina was selected to play in the All-Star Futures Game in June 2021.
